One Home, Six Rooms: Piperton with Lake Views
A Home Designed for Entertaining, Relaxing, and Appreciating the Stunning Lake View
Some homes are built for living, and others are designed for experiencing. This project was all about crafting a space that seamlessly blends functionality with beauty—perfect for a family that loves entertaining, enjoys luxurious comfort, and treasures its stunning lake views.
Kitchen
The kitchen was designed with one major priority in mind: entertaining. This family loves to host, whether it’s holiday gatherings or casual get-togethers with friends, so we created an open-concept space that flows effortlessly into the living room and breakfast nook. A key addition was a built-in bar, making it easy to serve drinks without guests having to step away from the action.
To add a touch of glamour, we incorporated custom antiqued glass with striking gold veining into the bar area. Oversized black and gold light fixtures bring in a playful, modern edge. But beyond the aesthetics, we also prioritized the incredible view—ensuring that every seat in the kitchen and breakfast nook takes full advantage of the breathtaking lake scenery beyond the large windows and sliding glass doors.
Living Room
Just like the kitchen, the living room was designed with entertaining in mind. Open and uncluttered, it offers plenty of room for guests to mingle comfortably. One standout feature? The television is nowhere to be found—at least, not at first glance. Instead of a traditional setup, we installed a projector that drops down from the ceiling when needed, maintaining the room’s sleek and inviting look when not in use.
To bring in color and texture, we opted for Romo wallpaper on the fireplace flanks and chose freestanding storage pieces rather than built-ins. The teal leather swivel chairs were a must—they not only add a pop of color but also allow guests to take in the gorgeous lake views from any angle.
Master Bedroom
The homeowner wanted her bedroom to feel like a grand, glamorous retreat. The showstopper? A custom full-height headboard that takes advantage of the room’s soaring ceilings. To make the space feel even more personal, we selected a custom wallpaper that adds depth and uniqueness.
One design challenge was deciding what to do with the wall across from the bed. Since the homeowners have a spacious custom closet off the en-suite, they didn’t need a traditional dresser. Instead, we got creative with 3D sculptural pieces that screw directly into the sheetrock. The design we chose mimics the movement of a crashing wave, subtly tying the space back to the lake outside.
Master Bathroom
Luxury is in the details, and this bathroom is no exception. The star of the show? A hidden fridge drawer in the vanity, perfect for keeping skincare products, face masks, and even a chilled bottle of bubbly handy for a soak in the freestanding tub.
Home Gym
The homeowners wanted a gym that didn’t feel like a gym—something that felt inspiring, calming, and beautiful. To achieve this, we installed luxury vinyl flooring in a warm wood tone laid in a herringbone pattern, mirroring the elegance of the home’s main hardwood floors. But the true standout feature is the hand-applied gold-leaf mural, bringing an artful, personal touch to the space. And of course, no workout is complete without a view—so we ensured that this room, too, maximized sightlines to the lake.
From entertaining-ready spaces to personal retreats, this home is a perfect reflection of its owners—a place where style, function, and stunning views come together seamlessly. Every design choice was made with intention, ensuring that each room feels as special as the memories that will be made within it.
