When our clients moved from Houston to Memphis for a new role at St. Jude, they found a home in the ideal neighborhood for their daughters’ schooling. However, its early 2000s traditional design needed a modern refresh. Through thoughtful cosmetic updates and collaboration, we transformed it into a stylish family haven. The home underwent a full facelift with new paint, countertops, tile, and lighting. Existing cabinetry was refreshed with paint, except for the powder bathroom, where we introduced a custom fluted vanity.

The primary bathroom received the most work in the home. We replaced the closed-off shower walls with glass on three sides, opening up the space and adding a window above the tub for natural light. This reimagined design turned the master bath into a luxurious, light-filled retreat.
The entry sets the tone with bold wallpaper above a fluted chair rail. Rich green accents and daring design choices created a statement space that harmonizes with the home’s neutral palette.
Australian cypress floors were revitalized by sanding and staining to minimize their original orange undertones. Minwax Weathered Oak with a water-based sealer delivered a fresh, natural look.
This project showcases how strategic updates and personal touches can modernize a home while preserving its charm. From bold statements to functional details, we’re thrilled to have created a space that reflects this family’s personality and needs.
